The Retreat Workers Retreat

October 30th – Nov 6th, Cornwall, UK

This is the retreat workers retreat. The retreat that cares for the carer.

Are you a venue owner, host, retreat chef, teacher, therapist or course leader?

We are offering you this week as an opportunity – to fill your tanks, revitalise, relax and most importantly, to be cared for.

Leave the roles and responsibilities of your retreat setting work behind. Come sink into a week of transformative, regenerative work, rest, and play with The Holistic Kitchen Academy.

This retreat will give you the space, guidance and support to explore just what it is that enables you to be the best retreat worker you can be.

Find what holds you back and discover what bolsters you up to be your fullest expression of self,

Be nourished:

By intentful movement practices that deepen a dialogue with self, restorative relaxation and life giving foods.

Be supported:

Course Leaders
The week will be guided by Hayley North, Jo Tytherleigh and Kate Allen.

We have all pursued individual paths in food, retreats and healing arts; each with our own particular areas of interest.

Our experience ranges from growing – using permaculture and organic methods, to running cafes and pop up supper clubs, recipe development for books, spa resorts and hotels, catering for large events and retreats, working with children and teenagers, to working in refugee camp kitchens. We have been retreat participants before we became retreat workers and have decades of retreat experience to share.

From this wealth of experience, we continue to turn our attention towards integrated holistic food education.

We are in a unique position in this arena, being long-term practitioners and teachers of yoga, meditation and connected disciplines. Our embodiment of these practices gives us a holistic approach in all that we share.

It is our sincere belief that a ‘teacher’s’ purpose is to guide the student toward a place of self-trust that brings empowerment.

The combined knowledge, wisdom and creativity of Hayley, Jo and Kate is phenomenal, they are extremely professional, generous and gracious. I left with a renewed sense of purpose, creativity as well as deep calm!

Retreat Chef Training & Going Deeper Student

I have so much gratitude for the teachings I have received. The focus on self-care gave me much to take away to put into practice and I felt very nourished, very inspired and very happy to have spent a week with such wonderful teachers and group of people.

The knowledge that Hayley, Jo and Kate bring to this 7 day course is invaluable. The study sessions were carefully thought out and allowed for Q&A and as the group size had been kept small, we could delve deeper into our own personal understanding. It has definitely inspired me to continue with my own personal learning.

Going Deeper Student

The teachers of this course all have a language for how they feel and experience food, the energy within and behind it. This has given me a deeper permission to speak and start to write about the magical world of plants and energy that nourishes us.  The unique flavour of each teachers experiences deeply enhanced the quality of the material they offered. The “Going Deeper” retreat will forever remain in my heart.
